Position Info:

·         Position: Head Chef

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $38.50/hour

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions: 2

Job Duties:

·         Plan and develop seasonal Korean menus while maintaining strict food quality and presentation standards

·         Supervise and coordinate the daily kitchen operations and activities of line cooks, prep staff, and kitchen helpers

·         Demonstrate specialized Korean cooking techniques and train staff on proper kitchen equipment usage

·         Prepare and cook high-quality signature dishes and specialty menu items, including hot pots, stews, and braised dishes

·         Create and refine recipes for traditional sauces, marinades, and new dishes to enhance menu offerings

·         Instruct and guide kitchen staff in authentic Korean food preparation, precise cooking methods, and proper garnishing and plating techniques

·         Maintain accurate logs and records of food costs, ingredient consumption, daily sales, and kitchen inventory levels

·         Oversee and authorize the purchasing and requisition of specialty ingredients, premium meats, and kitchen supplies to ensure efficient daily operations

·         Train kitchen staff in food handling procedures, safe storage, and traditional meal prep techniques

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 3-5 years of commercial cooking experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Language: English
