Support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with families, co-workers and community service providers working with children. Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toileting habits. Establish guidelines for behaviour and foster independence.
Lead activities by implementing curriculum and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity. Support development of fine and gross motor skills. Maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.
Qualifications and Skills:
BC License to Practice as an Infant Toddler Educator, Early Childhood Educator or ECE Assistant.
Building Blocks will support you through the education component if you are in the process of acquiring your License to Practice (enrolled).
If you are interested in becoming an Early Childhood Educator and working with children. Please note that you do not yet have your License to Practice, but are interested in acquiring it, when you submit your resume.
· Extended medical, dental and vision coverage after 6 months of full time, permanent employment.
