Overview

Position Info:

·         Position: Chef

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $28.00~$38.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: #201 -4501 North Road, Burnaby, BC V3N 4R7

Job Duties:

·         Prepare and cook meals, including specialty dishes.

·         Develop new recipes for seasonal menus.

·         Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff during food preparation.

·         Demonstrate new cooking techniques and proper use of equipment to kitchen staff.

·         Train team members in food preparation, cooking methods, and safe handling practices.

·         Plan and update menus while ensuring all dishes meet established quality standards.

·         Customize meals to accommodate food allergies or dietary restrictions.

·         Oversee the recruitment and hiring process for kitchen personnel.

·         Coordinate the purchasing and maintenance of kitchen equipment.

·         Manage inventory and order necessary food and kitchen supplies.

·         Provide guidance on cooking techniques, garnishing, and food presentation.

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Language: English
