Location: Toronto, ON
Salary: $16.00 hourly for 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required
– Completion of secondary (high) school is required
– 2 years to less than 3 years of related work experience in a restaurant including supervisory experience
– Knowledge of Japanese cuisine is an asset

Job duties:

Restaurant Floor Management:
– Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule activities of servers to efficiently cooperate with kitchen staff;
– Prepare food order summaries for chefs and cooks in the kitchen;
– Prepare and submit sales reports and operational issues to the company’s management office;
– Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage;
– Estimate and order ingredients and supplies;
– Ensure food service and quality control;
– Explain Japanese tapas dishes to customers

Staff Management:
– Train food service staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures;
– Establish work schedules, and methods and plans to meet the schedules;
– Recruit, interview, and hire food service staff
