Position Info:

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $19.00~$20.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions: 2

·         Work Location: 3150 Ash Street, Vancouver, BC V5Z 3C9

Job Duties:

·         Develop and implement child-care programs that support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children

·         Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children

·         Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems

·         Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits

·         Supervise and coordinate activities of other educators and assistants

·         Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts

·         Prepare snacks and arrange rooms for furniture for lunch and rest periods

·         Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: Experience is an asset

·         Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required

·         Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
