Position Info:
- Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)
- Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
- Wage: $22.50~$25.00/hour (depending on experience)
- Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week
- Number of Positions: 2
- Work Location: 51265 Yale Road, Chilliwack, BC V0X 1X0
Benefits:
- 10 days paid vacation per year or 4% vacation pay
Job Duties:
- Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
- Plan and conduct activities by reading stories and teaching songs
- Set up rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and prepare snacks
- Prepare reports for parents and supervisors regarding children’s behavioural issues and potential learning
- Guide and assist children in eating, dressing and toilet habits.
- Maintain daycare equipment organized and sanitized
- Help children to express the creativities and find interests through art, music, play and physical activities
- Establish guidelines for behaviour
Job requirements:
- Language: English
- Experience: Experience is an asset
- Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
- Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and ECE Certificate
