THE ROLE:
We are looking for a talented and creative Hair Colour Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment at our Victoria location.

KEY Responsibilities:
Consultations with Clients:
Assessing clients’ hair type, condition, and previous color treatments.
Offering expert advice on color choices, techniques, and hair care products.
Hair Coloring and Application:
Mixing hair color and ensuring the right consistency for the desired results.
Applying color to clients’ hair using various techniques such as highlights, balayage, ombre, or all-over color.
Hair Treatments and Care:
Applying conditioning treatments to protect and nourish hair after coloring.
Recommending post-color care products and routines to maintain hair health and color longevity.
Maintaining a Clean and Safe Work Area:
Keeping your workstation tidy and sanitized, ensuring all equipment and products are properly stored. -Following safety protocols, especially when handling chemical products.
Client Education:
Educating clients on how to care for their color-treated hair and prevent damage.
Recommending specific hair care products based on individual needs.
Updating Client Records:
Keeping accurate records of clients’ color history, preferences, and specific treatments.
Documenting any changes made during the appointment for future reference.
Maintaining Knowledge of Trends and Techniques:
Keeping up with the latest hair color trends, techniques, and product innovations.
Attending workshops, training, and industry events to stay updated.
Client Retention and Service:
Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients to ensure repeat visits.
Offering a relaxing and professional experience to enhance customer satisfaction.
Adhering to Salon Guidelines and Mission Statement:
Following the salon’s guidelines, policies, and mission statement in all professional conduct.
Ensuring that all services provided align with the salon’s core values and goals.
Assisting Others with their Duties:
Offering support to colleagues and assisting them in their duties, fostering a team-oriented environment.
Helping with tasks outside of your primary role to contribute to the salon’s success.
Providing Excellent Customer Service:
Ensuring every client receives outstanding service from the moment they enter the salon to the completion of their appointment.
Addressing client needs and concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Promoting Yourself and the Brand:
Representing the salon and its brand in a positive and professional manner both in the salon and externally. Promoting your own services and expertise while enhancing the reputation of the salon.
Continuing Education and Career Advancement:
Pursuing continuous learning and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Attending relevant workshops, training sessions, and industry events to stay ahead of trends and improve techniques.
Qualifications:
·         3+ years’ experience as a hair stylist specializing in colouring techniques in the North American market.

·         Diploma in hair styling is essential.

·         Exceptional verbal and written English.

·         Must have advanced working knowledge of the following techniques:

·         Ombré

·         Baylayage

·         Reverse Baylage

·         Sombré

·         Dip Sye technique

·         Highlights (including Ribbon highlights)

·         Lowlights

·         Colour Melt

·         Ecaille
