Overview

Position Info:

·         Position: First Cook

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $29.00 ~ $31.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: 3667 West Broadway Street, Vancouver, BC V6R 2B8

 

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

 

Job Duties:

·         Prepare and cook entire meals and individual dishes and food items

·         Keep track of food, supplies, and equipment inventory and records

·         Order kitchen supplies and equipment

·         Supervise kitchen staff and helpers

·         Keep the kitchen and work area clean and sanitized

·         Plan menus, determine the sizes of food portions, and estimate food requirements and expenses

·         Recruit and train other kitchen staff in the methods of food preparation, cooking, and handling of food

·         Oversee kitchen operation

 

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Education: Completion of Secondary School is required

·         Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experiences are required
