Overview

Position Info:

·         Position: Sous-Chef

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $24.00 – $27.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: 898 Homer Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 2W5

Benefits:

·         10 days paid vacation per year

·         Extended Health Care / Dental Care (after 3 months of employment)

Job Duties:

·         Oversee activities of cooks and other kitchen staff

·         Prepare and cook complete meals individual food items

·         Guide other cooks in food preparation, cooking, and presentation of foods

·         Create and develop new recipes and menu items

·         Plan menus and requisition food and kitchen supplies

·         Demonstrate new cooking techniques or equipment to kitchen workers

Job Requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required
