Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled estimator/draftsman to join our millwork shop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing shop drawings, preparing estimates, and supporting our drafting and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations
Develop and prepare design sketches
Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets
Check and verify design drawings to ensure they conform to specifications and design data
Write technical reports
Prepare contracts and tender documents
Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates
Supervise and train other technologists, technicians, and drafters
Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams, or layouts from sketches
Operate computer-assisted drafting equipment or conventional drafting stations

Qualifications

College degree in a related field preferred
1–2 years of relevant work experience
Proficiency in CAD software and drafting principles
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to write technical reports and prepare construction documents
Experience supervising or training others is a plus

Compensation and Hours

Wage: $27.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week (full-time position)
