Position Info:

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $21.25~$23.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: 2946 Tillicum Road, Victoria, BC V9A 2A8

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

·         Extended Healthcare (after 3 months of employment)

Job Duties:

·         Support early childhood educators in implementing activities designed to foster children’s physical, intellectual, emotional, and social growth

·         Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records

·         Prepare and serve snacks, and organize rooms or arrange furniture to accommodate lunch and rest times

·         Participate in staff meetings to review children’s development and address any concerns or challenges

·         Support and guide children in developing appropriate eating, dressing, and toileting skills

·         Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 1-2 years of experience in childcare is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, E.C.E.A. Certificate

·         Language: English
