Position Info:

·         Position: Registered Massage Therapist
·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
·         Wage: $40.00~$43.00/hour (depending on experience)
·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
·         Number of Positions:  1
·         Work Location: 102-2764 Barnet Highway, Coquitlam, BC V3B 1B9

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

 

Job Duties:

·         Conduct a range of motion and muscle tests and propose treatment plans for clients

·         Keep records of treatments given

·         Press specific points on the body with the fingers and hands

·         Describe the risks, benefits, and procedures to clients

·         Provide information about techniques for home care and provide instructions

·         Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body

·         Administer massage techniques through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, joint pain, and lower grade mobilizations

 

Job Requirements:

·         Language: English
·         Experience: Experience is an asset
·         Education: Completion of an 18- to -24 month or 18- to 36-month program in massage therapy from an accredited school and a period of supervised practical training
·         Certificate: Certification by a provincial association for massage therapists is required
