Overview

Position Info:

·         Position: Head Chef

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $37.00-$38.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 102-2945 Jacklin Road, Langford, BC V9B 5E3

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Manage and oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
·         Plan menus and ensure all dishes meet quality and safety standards.
·         Monitor and control food inventory and labour costs.
·         Supervise, train, and coordinate kitchen staff, including cooks and kitchen helpers.
·         Maintain and arrange kitchen equipment and supplies.
·         Participate in the recruitment and hiring of kitchen team members.
·         Prepare meals as needed for regular service and special occasions.
·         Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations in the kitchen.

Job Requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: 3-5 years of commercial cooking experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required
