Position Info:

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $24.00-$25.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions: 1

·         Work Location: 3365 Kingsley Place, Victoria, BC V8P 4K2

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Build and run daily schedules that help children develop their physical and social skills

·         Direct group play by reading stories, singing songs, and managing trips to local spots

·         Promote creative outlets using various tools like art, music, and role-playing

·         Assist with basic habits such as mealtime manners, getting dressed, and bathroom routines

·         Communicate child progress through regular updates and informal chats with parents

·         Watch for specific needs regarding behavior or learning and document those findings for the team

·         Manage the workspace by keeping gear clean, prepping snacks, and setting up for nap time

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: Experience is an asset

·         Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required

·         Certification: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate and ECE Certificate
