Position Info:

·         Position: Cook

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $18.00-$21.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions: 1

·         Work Location: A-1221, 7th Avenue, Fernie, BC V0B 1M0

Job Duties:

·         Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including sushi and other Japanese dishes, in accordance with established recipes and quality standards

·         Measure and portion ingredients appropriately to ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and cost control

·         Monitor and request food and kitchen supplies as needed to support daily operations

·         Check kitchen and food preparation areas regularly to ensure cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards

·         Maintain accurate records of inventory, including food items, supplies, and kitchen equipment

·         Prepare meals that accommodate customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions, ensuring safe handling procedures

·         Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and work areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment

Job Requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required
