Position: Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $50.00~$53.00/hour (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week
Number of Positions: 1

Job Duties:

Assess clients by conducting range of motion and muscle tests, and develop appropriate treatment plans
Explain procedures, risks and benefits to clients
Provide home care guidance and instruction on exercises for postural improvement, stretching, strengthening, relaxation, and rehabilitation
Maintain accurate treatment records
Administer massage techniques, including soft tissue manipulation, relaxation methods, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, and joint mobilizations
Apply finger and hand pressure to specific areas of the body to relieve tension and improve function
Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body

Job requirements:

Experience: 1-2 years of related experience required
Education: Completion of an 18 to 24 month or 18 to 36 month program in massage therapy from an accredited school and a period of supervised practical training
Language: English
Certificate: Certification by a provincial association for massage therapists is required
