Position Info:

·         Position: Cook

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $21.50/hour

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 397 Railway Street, Vancouver, BC V6A 1A4

Job Duties:

·         Prepare and cook menu items such as sandwiches, salads, soups, hot dishes, baked goods, and catering items according to standardized recipes

·         Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, portioning, marinating, and organizing food items for daily service and catering orders

·         Follow cooking times, temperatures, and portion standards to ensure consistent food quality and presentation

·         Assist with catering orders, including bulk food preparation, portioning, packaging, and timely order completion

·         Keep the kitchen, workstations, equipment, utensils, and storage areas clean and organized

·         Monitor food inventory, rotate ingredients, report shortages, and assist with receiving and storing supplies

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required
