QCS is currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Aide to join our healthcare team in Smiths Falls, Ontario. We are seeking an individual who is committed to providing quality patient care and support in a professional healthcare environment. The successful candidate will assist patients with daily living activities, monitor their condition, and help maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients.

Workplace: On-site
Salary: $24.31 per hour / 30 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Term or Contract

• College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience
• 1 years to less than 2 years
Responsibilities
Work under the supervision and direction of nurses or senior healthcare workers
Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal care needs
Serve meals and assist patients with eating and drinking
Help lift, turn, position, transfer, and transport patients safely
Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
Observe patients’ condition and report any changes or concerns to nurses or senior healthcare workers
Record basic patient care information, including food and fluid intake
Collect specimens and assist with basic care procedures as directed by nursing staff
Assist patients with exercises, mobility, and recreational activities
Make beds and keep patient rooms clean, safe, and organized
Clean and prepare patient care equipment and maintain supplies
Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
Assist with medication and other patient care activities only as directed and permitted
Perform other duties related to patient care, safety, and comfort under the direction of nursing staff
