We are a family in Norman Wells, Northwest Territories seeking a caring, responsible, reliable, and experienced Childcare Provider – private home to support the daily care needs of our child. The caregiver will provide nurturing, patient, and attentive care in a safe and loving home environment.

Employment Type: Permanent, full-time position
Wage: $20.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Setting: Employer’s private home in Norman Wells, NT
Location: Intersection of Willow Crescent and Mackenzie Dr, Norman Wells, NT
Qualifications
- 7 months to less than 1 year of childcare experience
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Language: English
Job Duties
- Follow parents’ guidance and preferences regarding toilet training
- Take full responsibility for household operations when parents are absent
- Perform light housekeeping, tidying, and cleaning tasks
- Bathe, dress, and feed the child
- Discipline the child in accordance with parents’ preferred methods and guidelines
- Teach personal hygiene, appropriate social skills, and healthy development
- Maintain accurate records of children’s daily activities, routines, and health information
- Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy home environment for the child
- Plan and organize age-appropriate activities, including games, playtime, and outings
- Prepare and serve healthy, nutritious meals and snacks
- Prepare for naps, rest periods, and bedtime
- Provide attentive supervision and daily care for the child
- Transport to and from school, appointments, and scheduled activities
- Support and promote emotional well-being and overall development
