Work location: On site

Salary: $21.00 to $29.00 hourly (To be negotiated)

Terms of employment: Permanent employment / Full time / 30 to 40 hours per week / Shift

Starts as soon as possible

Benefits: Tip + 4% Vacation Pay

Job Requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

 

Work setting: Restaurant

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

1.      Determine the size of food portions and costs

2.      Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization

3.      Requisition food and kitchen supplies

4.      Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

5.      Inspect kitchens and food service areas

6.      Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food

7.      Order supplies and equipment

8.      Supervise kitchen staff and helpers

9.      Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

10. Clean kitchen and work areas

 

Support for youths

·         Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth

·         Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
