Position Info:

·         Position: Liquor store salesclerk

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $16.00/hour

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

Job Duties:

·         Process customer payments by cash, cheque, credit card, debit card or other approved payment methods

·         Use the POS system to scan products, calculate totals, issue receipts and complete transactions accurately

·         Complete routine sales documentation and provide customers with receipts or other required purchase records

·         Update computerized inventory records and assist with placing replenishment orders when stock levels are low

·         Help customers choose suitable beer, wine, spirits and other store products based on their preferences and budget

·         Respond to customer questions, handle basic concerns and provide courteous service throughout their visit

·         Arrange products on shelves and promotional displays so that merchandise is organized, visible and properly presented

·         Welcome customers and discuss the type, brand, size, quantity and price of products they are looking to purchase

·         Record product sales and stock movements to support accurate inventory monitoring and control

·         Prepare merchandise for sale by unpacking deliveries, attaching price labels, stocking shelves and checking products for damage

Job requirements:

·         Experience: Experience is an asset

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Language: English
