Key Responsibilities
Duties
Supervise daily processing activities in forest products manufacturing, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and production schedules
Coordinate with supply chain teams to manage raw material inventory levels using ERP systems.
Implement process improvements utilizing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste
Oversee quality control procedures to maintain product standards and compliance with industry regulations
Lead assembly line operations, ensuring mechanical systems are functioning optimally through regular inspections and troubleshooting with mechanical knowledge
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process optimization projects, leveraging ERP systems for data analysis and reporting
Train and develop team members on manufacturing best practices, process standards, and safety procedures

Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently
Experience working with inventory management and production planning
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, including lean manufacturing techniques and process improvement strategies
Knowledge of supply chain management principles, including MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems
Proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency
Familiarity with quality control standards within forest products processing environments
Excellent communication skills for effective team leadership and collaboration across department
A grading ticket or experience with different grade familararity is preffered
