Overview

The McLernon family household is seeking the assistance of one (1) Home Child Care Provider on a full-time bases to work in our private home in Calgary, Alberta. This position is a permanent full-time position and the median of language for this position is English.  This IS NOT a live-in position.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise and care for children in a private home setting

Bathe, dress and feed small children

Plan, prepare and serve meals for children and sterilize bottles and prepare formula

Shop for food and household supplies

Manage and oversee meal planning and rest periods, as instructed by employer

Maintain a safe and healthy and clean environment in the home

Instruct children in personal hygiene and assist in their social and emotional development

Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents

Organize activities such as games and outings for children

Take children to and from appointments and activities when required

Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children

 

Education Requirements:

Secondary education (high school)

First-aid certificate

Driver’s license and vehicle is an asset (gas and millage covered)

vulnerable sector check

 

Experience requirements:

Experience with childcare in a personal home setting

7 months to less than 1 year

 

Wage and hours:

This position is $21.00 per hour for 30-35 hours per week. This position is a permanent full-time position.
