Overview

China Liang Buffet is looking for a Cook with 3-5 years’ experience specialized in preparing and cooking Chinese cuisine including dim sum. This is a permanent full-time position and the successful candidate will work 40 -50 hours per week at our restaurant in Regina. The hourly rate is $18.00 per hour and overtime is paid at 1.5 time of the regular hourly pay. Your are entitled to a three-week vacation with pay per year and will be provided the option to sign up group insurance and other benefits required by the Province of Saskatchewan. The Cook will perform the following duties:
• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Prepare and cook dishes for buffet station
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.)
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies as required
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Manage kitchen operations

Credentials and Skills Required:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• Chinese Cook Trade Certification is preferred
• Attention to detail
