Position Info:

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $38.50-$40.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: A-2611 St Johns St, Port Moody, BC V3H 2B5

Benefits:

·         5% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Design and deliver programming that fosters children’s physical, cognitive, emotional and social growth

·         Oversee and direct the work of fellow early childhood educators and assistants

·         Facilitate group activities such as storytelling, singing and outings to community locations

·         Support children in building daily routines around eating, dressing and toilet training

·         Set clear expectations and behavioural standards for the group

·         Monitor children for early indicators of learning or behavioural concerns and draft reports for parents, guardians and supervisors

·         Compile updates on each child’s overall development and share findings with parents

·         Bring forward children’s progress and concerns during team meetings

·         Uphold a safe, secure and healthy setting in line with licensing standards

·         Procure and stock classroom supplies and equipment

Job requirements:

·         Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required

·         Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and ECE Certificate

·         Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator is required

·         Language: English
