Position Info:
· Position: Junior Mechanical Engineer
· Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
· Wage: $85,000 – $90,000/year (depending on experience)
· Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

Job Duties:
· Engineer mechanical equipment and tooling for in-situ site characterization, including cone penetration and downhole testing systems
· Evaluate the feasibility, functionality, and performance of mechanical components and systems used in geotechnical and geoenvironmental testing equipment
· Assess dynamic loading and vibration behavior of mechanical systems used during ground penetration and drilling
· Coordinate project schedules, material costs, and design specifications for equipment fabrication and testing programs
· Oversee the installation and field setup of mechanical testing systems at project sites
· Establish maintenance standards and schedules for testing rigs, downhole tools, and sensor equipment
· Diagnose mechanical failures and unexpected equipment issues arising during field or laboratory operations
· Lead technicians and engineering staff, and confirm the accuracy of designs, calculations, and cost estimates
· Verify and commission mechanical systems and components prior to field deployment
· Formulate risk management plans covering field operations, equipment handling, and site safety
Job Requirements:
· Language: English
· Education: Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering field is required
· Experience: 2-3 years of related experience is required
