Origin at Spring Creek is seeking a Cook in Canmore, AB. We have two positions available.

Terms of Employment

Wage: 22.00/hour

Position: Full-time, Permanent.

Vacation: 2 weeks

Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

·       Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to hotel recipes.

·       Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to company recipes using various kitchen equipment;

·       Precook necessary ingredients as well as pre-assemble dishes and ingredients with appropriate portions;

·       Portion, arrange, and garnish food;

·       Coordinate the work activities of kitchen staff;

·       Prepare weekly work schedules and requisitions for commissary meats and other food items;

·       Engage in the inventory of food items and prepare estimates of quantities of food items to be prepared;

·       Monitor and order supplies as required;

·       Ensure all food is prepared fresh and is of the highest quality;

·       Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices.

Education and Experience

Must have completed high school;
Must have at least 2 years of commercial cooking experience;
Must be able to multi-task and plan ahead.
Must be able to communicate in English;
Must have excellent communication and organization skills.
