Position: Nanny

Job location: Vancouver, BC

Work Setting: In-home but not live-in

Work Site Environment: Non-smoking

Language of Work: English

Wage: $25/hr

Job Type: Permanent – Full-time

Hours of Work: 30 hours per week. Schedule includes non-standard hours, with some shifts extending past 5:00 p.m. Exact weekly schedule to be confirmed with the successful candidate, based on family needs.

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Requirements:

The Nanny will be responsible for the care and supervision of 1 child (6 months of age) in the family home. Duties include, but are not limited to the following –

– Change diapers
– Sterilize bottles and prepare bottles and formulas
– Prepare child for rest periods
– Supervise and care for child
– Tend to emotional well-being of the child
– Bathe, dress and feed child
– Discipline child according to the methods requested by the parents
– Instruct child in personal hygiene and social development
– Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the child
– Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
– Organize, activities such as games and outings for the child
– Follow parents’ lead with toilet training
– Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
– Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
– Shop for food and household supplies
– Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties from time to time
– Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens
– Care for pets
– Cook, prepare and serve nutritious meals

Employment Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
– Experience caring for children is required (minimum 5 years)
– Must be able to communicate effectively and independently
– Must be reliable, patient, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
– It is an asset to be Japanese speaking
