Position Info:

· Position: Electrical Technician

· Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

· Wage: $112,200-$113,200/year (depending on experience)

· Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

Job Duties:

· Oversee the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems on site

· Interpret circuit diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings to plan the sequence of installation and commissioning work

· Determine component and system requirements from technical drawings and specifications during the design and development process

· Operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems

· Direct the building and testing of prototypes to confirm they meet design specifications

· Evaluate power equipment and systems to confirm functionality and compliance with performance standards

· Support the design, development, and testing of new electrical and electronic systems and components

· Draft specifications, estimates, schedules, and technical reports for ongoing and upcoming projects

· Inspect, adjust, and calibrate electronic components and instruments to maintain accuracy and reliability

· Compile test results and technical documentation on completed installation, calibration, and maintenance work

Job requirements:

· Experience: 3-5 years of experience in electrical technician work is required

· Education: Completion of a 2-3 year college diploma in electrical engineering technology, or equivalent, is required

· Language: English
