Wage – $21 to $25 per hour (to be negotiated)
Permanent, full-time (30-40 hours/week)
Employment conditions: Day, evening, night, weekend, flexible hours
Start date: As soon as possible
Language: English
Education: 1 to 2 years post-secondary certificate or diploma with specialization in hospitality management or administration
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Work location: Emerald Lake Lodge (1 Emerald Lake Rd, Field, BC V0A 1G0)
Tasks:
Establish methods to meet work schedules; Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures; Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards; Address customers’ complaints or concerns; Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage; Prepare and submit reports; Supervise and check assembly of trays; Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys; Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and specialty functions; Manage cash; Organize buffets and banquets; Lead banquet service operations, including setup, execution, and breakdown; Coordinate with kitchen team for banquet menu execution and timing; Assist in supervising the restaurant operations as needed; Model exemplary customer service and problem resolution; Support event planning and execution with sales and events team; Communicate effectively regarding event details and guest feedback; Perform hands-on duties including serving, setting up conference rooms, and supporting restaurant service when required
Work conditions and physical capabilities:
Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling
Requirements/Experience:
Banquet or restaurant supervisory experience preferred; Strong event coordination and planning skills; Outstanding interpersonal and leadership abilities; Knowledge of banquet service standards and hospitality trends; Exceptional communication and collaboration; Knowledge of Squirrel (asset); Ability to work variable shifts; Event planning experience an asset; Efficient interpersonal skills; Flexible; Team player; Initiative; Dependable; Client focus
