Job Description:
Job Title: Drywall installer
Location: 14681 107 Avenue, Surrey, BC, V3R 1T9
Wage – $29/hour for 36 to 40 hours per week along with 4% vacation pay
Number of Positions- 1
Employment type – Permanent, full-time
Start date: As soon as possible

Job Requirements:
Education: Completion of secondary school is required
Experience: 1-2 Year of work experience in same field.
Language: English

Job duties:

·       Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.

·       Read successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.

·       Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.

·       Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.

·       Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife.

·       Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required.

·       Measure, cut fit and install drywall sheets.

·       Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.

·       Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound.

·       Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings and metal studs for composition wallboard.

·       Install exterior and interior steel studs.

·       Prepare wall and ceiling layouts.

Work site environment: Dusty, Noisy.
