1) Greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of product or services sought for purchase.
2) Advise customers about the merchandise/product and suggest specialized options.
3) Estimate or qoute prices, credit terms, and delivery dates if required.
4) Prepare sales and accept cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit payment.
5) Pack the purchase properly and turn-over to the customer after payment.
6) Assist in the display of merchandise.

7) Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems.
8) May conduct sales transactions through internet-based electronic commerce.
9) Assemble visual retail displays to promote products, promotional events and seasonal change events.
10) Ensure visual display of products is in compliance with health and safety guidelines and standards to maintain product freshness.
