Concrete Finisher
Atlantic Developments Inc. is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher for permanent, full-time employment on residential and commercial construction projects at various locations in the Halifax area.
Responsibilities:
Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials.
Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
Fill hollows and remove high spots on freshly poured concrete.
Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
Level concrete surfaces according to grade and depth specifications.
Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures.
Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surfaces.
Waterproof, damp-proof and restore concrete surfaces.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of relevant concrete finishing experience.
No degree, certificate or diploma required.
English required.
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including bending, crouching, kneeling and standing for extended periods.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Own transportation required.
Dependable, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Employment details:
Permanent, full-time
45 hours per week
$32.00 per hour
Halifax, Nova Scotia and various job sites
Day/morning work
