Position Info:

·         Position: Bottle Sorter

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $23.00/hour

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions: 2

·         Work Location: 1125 Industrial Rd 3, Cranbrook, BC V1C 5E3

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Separate returned beverage containers by material type, size, and refund category at the sorting stations

·         Count containers and record weights and quantities against customer receipts and depot records

·         Load sorted containers into bags, bins, and crates for shipment to processing facilities

·         Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other powered equipment to move bulk loads within the depot

·         Inspect sorted loads for contamination or miscategorized items and correct errors before shipment

·         Train new sorters on sorting standards, safe lifting practices, and equipment use

·         Maintain sorting machines, conveyors, and work areas in a sanitary and safe condition

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Education: Completion of secondary education is required

·         Experience: 1-2 years of experience in the occupation supervised are required
