Position Info:

·         Position: Cook

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $17.00-$18.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 5-1194 Taylor Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3M 3Y8

Benefits:

·         4 % vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Slice and portion raw fish and proteins for sushi burritos, poké bowls, and rice bowls

·         Cook and season sushi rice and prep marinades, sauces, and toppings

·         Cost out portions to keep ingredients consistent and reduce waste

·         Adapt dishes for guests with food allergies or intolerances, including gluten-free options

·         Train kitchen staff on proper food handling, rice prep, and sauce-making

·         Order fish, produce, and other ingredients and supplies as stock runs low

·         Supervise kitchen staff and helpers during lunch and dinner service

·         Maintain inventory records for seafood, rice, and toppings

·         Follow food safety standards when handling raw fish and perishables

·         Keep prep stations, sushi counter, and equipment clean and sanitized

Job Requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
