Position Info:

·         Position: Head Chef

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $37.00~$38.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-44 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: 280 Guelph Street, Suite FC6, Georgetown, Ontario L7G 4B1

Benefits:

·         4 % vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Prepare and grill souvlaki, gyro, and other Greek specialties for daily service

·         Source meat, produce, and kitchen supplies to keep operations running

·         Oversee cooks and kitchen staff during prep and service

·         Train kitchen staff on proper technique, garnishing, and plating

·         Track food costs, stock levels, usage, and sales trends

·         Update menu offerings over time while keeping flavor and presentation authentic to Greek cooking

·         Create and test recipes for new and rotating menu items

·         Introduce updated grilling techniques and equipment to the team

·         Adjust dishes to accommodate customer allergies and dietary needs

Job Requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Experience: 5 or more years of commercial cooking experience, including supervisory experience, is required
