Position Info:

·         Position: Cook

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $20.00~$22.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  3

·         Work Location: 146 Main St, Fredericton, NB E3A 1C8

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Make Korean, Thai, Japanese, and Chinese dishes such as following the restaurant’s recipes and menu standards

·         Fry tempura, gyoza, spring rolls, and other appetizers to order

·         Portion ingredients and finished dishes to the restaurant’s set serving sizes

·         Run an assigned kitchen station and coordinate the helpers working at it during service

·         Instruct kitchen helpers and staff on food preparation methods and kitchen procedures

·         Calculate the food quantities and costs needed for menu items

·         Track stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment, update inventory records, and order items when stock runs low

·         Sanitize cooking equipment, the kitchen, and work areas during and after each shift

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Language: English
