NOC 44100 – Home child care providers
Child care provider required for family with two school age children. The applicant must be mature, loving, energetic, honest, outgoing, independent, and reliable.
Work Location: Nearest intersection: Alma St. and Point Grey Rd., Vancouver, BC, V6R 1B2
Job duties:
The nanny will provide full-time care to our children when parents are working. Responsibilities include: helping the children getting dressed, preparing and feeding meals to the children, engaging the children in play and different types of activities in the home and taking them outdoors, to nearby local parks when it is safe to do so. Plan activities that promote physical, emotional, intellectual and social development. Participate and supervise activities with children which would include: games, walks, playdates, playground outings, etc. Take children to and from school and appointments. Tend to emotional well-being of the children. Help children with homework. Provide care, warmth and security in absence of parents. The nanny will put the absolute safety of the children before all other responsibilities.
Job Requirements – Experience and Qualifications:
Completion of the equivalent of the Canadian secondary school education
At least 6 months of Caregiver training or at least one year of full-time paid experience as a caregiver or in a related field or occupation in the past three years
First Aid Certificate or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate (or willing to take course upon employment)
Able to speak, write and read English
Eligible to receive work permit for Canada

Terms of Employment:
The job is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Days off: Saturday and Sunday. 2 weeks paid holidays, 30 minutes paid meal break, 5 days of paid sick leave. Relocation cost paid by the employer

Wage: $19.00 hourly.
