Position Info:

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $22.00~$24.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: 3897 Holland Avenue, Victoria, BC V8Z 5K2

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

·         Extended Healthcare (after 3 months of employment)

Job Duties:

·         Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children

·         Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records

·         Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts

·         Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods

·         Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children

·         Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity

·         Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits

Job requirements:

·         Experience: Experience is an asset

·         Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required

·         Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, E.C.E. Certificate

·         Language: English
