Overview

Kelowna, BC (on-site)

This is a full-time permanent position (40 hours per week) involving on-site orchard and vineyard work focused on apple and grape production. The role requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, including wet, hot, and cold environments.

Responsibilities include:

Planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting apples and grapes
Applying and mixing fertilizers
Guiding, tying, and securing growing shoots
Maintaining vine growth, canopy management, and grape development
Pruning and cutting agricultural crops
Picking orchard and row crops
Weeding
Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment (including tractor)
The work is physically demanding and involves repetitive tasks, tight seasonal deadlines, standing for extended periods, frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting loads of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Details:

Wage: $18.25 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start date: As soon as possible
Education: No formal education or certification required
Experience: Farm / orchard / vineyard experience is an asset (training provided)
