Position Details

Employer: Cankord Glass

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, V5H 2A9

Work Location: Various job sites throughout Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Frequent or constant travel is required.

Work Arrangement: On the road

Wage: $38.50 per hour

Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Start Date: As soon as possible, Not later than 1st Sept. 2026

Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

Three years to less than five years of commercial and residential glass installation experience.
Commercial glazing installation experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, and other glass products.
Install doors, windows, and related hardware.
Prepare shop drawings.
Repair glass doors and other glass structures.
Supervise other workers.
Transport glass products and materials safely.
Work at heights using scaffolding, swing stages, or other elevated work platforms.

Mirrors
Sealed units
Frame fabrication and installation
Curtain wall systems (stock-length and prefabricated)
Spandrel panel installations
Aluminum framing members
Entrance systems
Skylights and slope-glazed installations
Curtain walls
Stained glass installations
Aluminum storefront systems
Commercial window systems
Barrel vaults and solariums
Glass baffles
Smoke and sprinkler baffles
Overhead automatic doors
Shower doors and tub enclosures
Suspended glazing systems
X-ray glass

Transportation & Security Requirements

Valid driver’s licence
