THE ROLE:

The Supervisor is responsible for coordinating crews, managing workflow, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards on job sites. The role requires physical stamina, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with team members and other trades. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, as travel to various job locations is a routine part of the job.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·                   Coordinate and oversee drywall and stucco crews, ensuring quality and timeline adherence.

·                   Contribute to high-quality restoration work in homes and businesses affected by fire, water, or structural damage.

·                   Read and interpret project plans, layouts, or insurance scopes to accurately establish job parameters.

·                   Instruct and supervise junior crew members and apprentices on best practices in:

o     Installing drywall boards

o     insulation

o     fireproofing materials in both residential and commercial environments

o     drywall taping

o     mudding

o     sanding, and finishing to a paint-ready standard.

·                   Use expertise in interior and exterior stucco finishes as part of restoration or new build projects.

·                   Instruct set ups and interior removals and exterior site protection as required.

·                   Identify and resolve material, timeline, or workmanship issues.

·                   Maintain a clear communication stream between project managers, site supervisors, and other trades on-site.

·                   Implement a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company and safety standards.

·                   Provide regular progress reports to senior management team.

·                   Ensure safe transportation of tools, materials, and waste to and from job sites.

 

Requirements:

 

·                   4+ years of experience in drywall boarding, taping, finishing, plaster patching, and stucco application/repair.

·                   Completion of Secondary school.

·                   Experience in both residential and commercial settings; restoration experience is a strong asset.

·                   Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working on ladders or scaffolding as required.

·                   Fluent in English with the ability to speak and read for effective communication on site.

·                   Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
