Position Info:

·         Position: Geological Technician

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $37.00~$40.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions: 1

·         Work Location: 19545 Telegraph Trail, Surrey, BC V4N 4G9

Job Duties:

·         Participate in geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrographic, or oceanographic surveys, field prospecting trips, exploratory drilling, well logging, underground mine surveys, and environmental audits and protection activities

·         Prepare notes, sketches, geological maps, and cross-sections

·         Assist in environmental audits and direct surveys or survey initiatives

·         Assist in the preparation, transcription, or analysis of seismic, gravimetric, well log, and other geophysical and survey data

·         Help prepare rock, mineral, or metal samples and conduct physical and chemical laboratory tests

·         Support hydrogeological field and laboratory studies and assist in report preparation

·         Handle administrative responsibilities, such as keeping filing systems and maintaining records

 

Job Requirements:

·         Education: A two-to-three-year college program in a related field is required

·         Experience: 1-2 years of related experience is required

·         Language: English
