Salary: $27.00 hourly / 40 to 60 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Address customers’ complaints or concerns
• Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques
• Provide professionalism in customer service
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials
• Inspect vehicle condition (tires, lights, brakes, etc.)
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Communicate with dispatch
• Record cargo info, hours, distance, and fuel

Credentials

AZ class license
Air Brakes Endorsement
Class 1/1F/A Licence
Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

Experience and Specialization

Documentation knowledge:
• Accident or incident reports
• Bill of lading
• Dangerous goods occurrence reports
• Driver logbook
• Inspection reports
• Maintenance and repair reports
• Trans-border documentation
• Trip reports

Type of trucking and equipment:
• Extended length tractor-trailer
• Flatbed
• Tractor-trailer B train

Additional Information

Security and safety: Valid passport, Criminal record check, Drug test, Medical exam
Transportation: Manual transmission, cross-border and international travel
Physical requirements: Heavy loads, repetitive tasks, sitting, up to 23 kg
