Cora Breakfast and Lunch located in Surrey, BC is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals for Cook positions to join our team in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in food preparation, and cooking. Main duties

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
Prepare and cook special meals or customised meals as per customer and chef’s request.
Handle food safely, following all health regulations and guidelines to prevent contamination.
Oversee kitchen operations and flow, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling dishes.
Maintain the usage of equipment, use of deep fryer, grill, oven, dispensers, and other equipment to prepare food items.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen to ensure a clean and safe environment.
Clean equipment, kitchen, and work area.

Employment requirements:

Secondary school education is required.
Food Safety Certificate is required
One-year Professional Cook 1 certificate is required or 1 year work experience as cook in Restaurant.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
