Deltason Trading Ltd. is a seafood and produce importer, distributor, and food processing company based in Richmond, British Columbia. The company was established in 1998 and has been serving the Canadian market with fresh and high-quality Asian food products for many years.

Since 2015, Deltason Trading Ltd. has expanded its operations to include a food processing division, producing and preparing items such as dim sum, meat products, prepackaged sauces, pre-cut vegetables, and other food and produce-related products for retail, restaurant, and food service customers.

We are currently hiring 2 full-time Food Processing Labourers to support our food processing and production operations.

Job Duties:

  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials throughout the facility
  • Work in the production of vegetable, meat, seafood, produce, and other food-related products
  • Sort, wash, prepare, weigh, mix, and package food products according to production requirements
  • Feed and unload food processing and packaging machines
  • Manually pack goods into bags, boxes, or other containersCheck products and packaging for basic quality defects
  • Assist process control and machine operators as required
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
  • Clean machines, tools, equipment, production surfaces, and immediate work areas
  • Use manual and powered equipment for production and material handling when required
  • Perform other related production duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience is an asset; training will be provided on site
  • Previous experience in food processing, food packaging, commercial kitchen preparation, warehouse production, or a similar physically demanding work environment is considered an asset
  • Must be able to read and understand basic English workplace instructions, food safety procedures, cleaning instructions, and safety directions
  • Must be reliable, punctual, accountable, and able to take initiative
  • Must be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment
  • Must be flexible to work different shifts, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, morning shifts, evening shifts, and overtime when require

Vacation:
