We are seeking experienced Carpenters to join the Destiny 05 team. In this role, you will be asked to perform various functions.

Wage: $31.25 per hour for 40 hours/week

Term of Employment: Full Time, Permanent

Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Requirements:

Language: English

Education: Completion of secondary (high) school

Work Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience as a Carpenter

 

Job Descriptions: In this role, you will be asked to perform various functions. A Carpenter is responsible for ensuring many different tasks, including but not limited to:

 

·        Read and interpret specifications, layouts and designs

·        Perform finish and trim carpentry work according to plans and specifications

·        Measure, cut, and install various fixtures of materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials

·        Prepare wood structures for finishing by shaping and trimming with hand or power tools

·        Fit and install trim items like doors, stairs, moulding and hardware to match irregular surfaces

·        Join materials using nails, screws, staples and adhesives

·        Take measurements to develop a suitable layout for a fixture

·        Provide cost and quantity estimates of raw materials required for the finishing project

·        Maintain, repair and renovate residences as well as commercial sites like wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

·        Implement safety and health regulations during work operations to ensure an environmentally friendly and safe structure
