Position Info:

·         Position: Baker

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $21.00/hour

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions: 2

·         Work Location: 2821 Quesnel Street, Victoria, BC V8T 4K2

Benefits:

·         10 days paid vacation

·         Up to $2,500 annual allowance (after 6 months)

Job Duties:

·         Measure, mix, and prepare various types of dough, batters, and fillings following standardized recipes and custom customer specifications

·         Operate commercial baking ovens to bake prepared doughs and batters to precise baking temperatures and times

·         Apply glazes, icings, and artistic decorations to finished pastries, cakes, and other baked goods

·         Safely handle and operate bakery equipment, including commercial mixers, dough dividers, proofers, and ovens

·         Ensure baked products meet quality standards for freshness, taste, and appearance

·         Keep baking supplies and raw materials organized and readily available for daily production

·         Maintain high standards of sanitation and food safety throughout the baking station and food preparation areas

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 2-3 years of commercial baking experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Language: English
