Position Info:

·         Position: Dental Chair-side Assistant

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $38.50-$39.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: #260-8600 Cambie Rd, Richmond, BC V6X 4J9

Benefits:

·         4 % vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Ready patients for dental examinations, including positioning and explaining treatment steps

·         Clean, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment to uphold infection control standards

·         Organize and set up dental instruments and filling materials ahead of procedures

·         Capture and process dental X-rays as directed by the dentist

·         Log dental procedures performed on patients according to clinic standards

·         Guide patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care routines

·         Fabricate plaster models and moulds for diagnostic and treatment planning purposes

·         Assemble wax bite-blocks and impression trays for use during dental procedures

Job Requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in dental assistance is required
