Position Info:

·         Position: Chair-side Dental Assistant

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $34.62~$36.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 797 Drake Street, Vancouver, BC V6Z 2N7

 

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

 

Job Duties:

·         Prepare Patients for dental examination

·         Assist the dentist during examinations and dental treatments

·         Prepare dental instruments, fillings, compounds and various dental materials

·         Take X-rays

·         Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant

·         Ensure all dental tools and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and organized

·         Give patients information about aftercare, including instructions for medication, oral hygiene, and follow-up appointments

·         Keep records of dental procedures performed on patients

 

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: 1~2 years of relevant experience is required

·         Education: Completion of an 8 month to 1 year college or other program in dental assistance is required
